Boat Build Series
Malibu 247
Join us as we walk through refurbishing a Malibu Wakesetter. This DIY video series takes you through the process of turning your wakeboard boat into a wakesurf machine.
Turn Your Malibu 247 Into A Wake Maker
Our Malibu 247 was big enough that we lovingly referred to it as the wakeboard yacht. In its stock configuration it created a good wakeboard wave, but it was nearly impossible to surf. We decided to give this boat the full surf compliment of ballast and pumps. In this video series we will teach you how to install a complete ballast system. How to decide where to drill thu-hulls, place plumps, run hose, wire relays, and electrical. It all sounds complicated. We will show you how easy it really is. With some patience, our videos, and a few tools you can get your boat surfing in no time.
