Step 1

Fill your ballast evenly, there is no need to list your boat to the side when using the SWELL Wakesurf Creator. Start with a 60/40 rear/front split of ballast for a V-Drive boat. More weight in the front makes the wave longer, more weight in the rear makes the waver larger and shorter. For a direct drive boat we recommend starting with 600lbs only in the rear.

step 2

This device floats. A tether is not required. DO NOT TETHER TO BOAT, this can damage your boat, and/or the device and may void the Lifetime Warranty. If it is a choppy day or busy day on the water and you wan to tether, attach it to a buoy, spare life jacket, or a piece of pool noodle to make it easier to see floating. Make sure your tether won’t interfere with the propeller or surfer.

step 3

Locate a flat surface 3-4” below the water line free of decals as close to the back of the hull as you can. Press firmly against suction levers, pressing the suction cups into the boat, then lock down the levers. There should be a decent amount of tension on these levers for a good connection.

step 4

A speed between 10-13mph works best for most boats, please do not exceed 14mph. Practice driving and turning your first time attaching to get used to a bit of steering change with the device on the boat.
